This is the type of inspection usually done during a Real Estate transaction for the buyer. These inspections are done on existing structures and new construction. Sellers can also have inspections done before listing in order to take care of any unknown problems or adjust the asking price to account for any deficiencies or aged systems.

Triplexs and Fourplexs
Inspections on triplexs and fourplexs do not vary much from single family structures but are more complex as there are usually multiple base systems (electric, plumbing, hvac), multiple kitchens and common areas. You can expect an inspection of a duplex to take as long, if not longer, than a single family stucture. A fourplex inspection will last half a day or more. With these structures, there are usually tenant and access issues to consider.
